For plant nuts like me, this is a very exciting time. Lots of new plants are reaching us from all over the world. In fact, when I think about it, there are probably more new plants entering the garden industry than at any other time in living memory.

Trouble is, just because they are new, doesn't necessarily mean they are going to be worth growing.

So in an effort to sort them out and select only those that we consider worthy of including in our selection, we carry out wide-ranging research and undertake extensive trials in the Garden Splendor® nursery.

Part of this process involves growing them here in my garden (this is the fun part), it provides a marvelous opportunity to grow and compare them next to existing cultivars to see how these new debutantes measure up, under real garden conditions.
